FOR SOME I KNOW, ITS FINALS WEEK… FOR OTHERS, ITS NEXT WEEK SO…
Be prepared to go hard or go home and going home is not an option. Therefore:
Try taking Emergen-C, not only can it help fight off a cold, but it also contains B12 and can give you a nice energy boost.
Keep the coffee maker a-brewing, if that’s your fancy.
All nighters are actually ineffective and show that it can cause your memory to blank when you need it most.
When studying, take small, frequent breaks. Eat, drink, take a nap.
Study one topic or class at a time.
I personally find note cards to be the most effective when needing to remember terms, facts, dates, etc. Start with a quarter of the pile, then move on to the remaining quarters, one at a time. Once you think you know the majority, shuffle and go for it together. Pile the ones you know and the ones you don’t separately each round. When you feel you absolutely KNOW certain ones. Keep them out of the deck. Repeat until you’re comfortable.
Before going to sleep, go over the material you’re studying. Your brain can actually remember information better if you do a quick review before sleeping.
Calm down. Just breathe. Everyone is stressed, you’re not alone. Do what you can and have faith in yourself.
During the test, DO NOT OVER THINK IT OR DOUBT YOURSELF. You’re more likely to get an answer incorrect if you change your initial answer. Unless you’re 110% sure its incorrect, trust your gut feeling and stick with your first guesses.
If you run out of time, don’t randomly fill in the scantron/test sheet. Choose one option and use it for all the questions you have left. Studies show “C” is the most common answers, however, personally I’ve noticed via past tests from a particular professor, she seems to choose “A” a lot. Nevertheless, choose a letter and stick with it.
Once you have finished your finals, go home, burn your notes, and take a nap. Wake up and party all night with your friends, you deserve it!
See you bitches on the flip side!!
I’ve been in college for.e.ver. it feels like, so if you need any tips, send em in. Maybe I can help :)
